Healing Yoga with Meditation & Reiki

We are all familiar with the idea of setting new years resolutions. We use this time to set resolutions of new health and diet goals, bad habits to break, new career goals, to get organized or even spend less and save more money….But what if we took the time to look within and self reflect, to set our intentions from the heart, and manifest our desires, to put our energy into our intention and to pull the energy of the moon –– just think of how much more powerful we could all be?

The New Moon works in the same sort of concept as New Year as they are both New Beginnings!

The New Moon brings the energy of new beginnings and creativity. It is a gift from the universe given to us to assist in bringing in new opportunities. This is the very beginning of the lunar cycle, and a good time for planting the seed of intention of what you wish to create in your life. During the New Moon the Mother Goddess is in her infant stage, this marks the time to set intentions for fresh starts and new beginnings, for growth and anything involving attracting or increasing what you desire is appropriate.

It is a potent time for calling in desires and manifesting vision. January 24th is the first New Moon in this New Year, we thought we would welcome you to join us for a Restorative Reiki Class followed by a workshop where we will craft our own intention candle to help manifest our own intention for this New Year.

During the workshop you will create your own New Moon intention candle using your heartfelt intention, herbs, symbols, runes, anointing oils that were used during biblical times and your own sigil that you will learn to make. Learn how to make, create and use your candle for the best intention for your higher self. Take your candle home with you and enjoy the magic!

Lisa Diem from Fenelon Yoga and Dana Greer from Reiki with Dana have joined together to bring the ultimate blissful healing Yoga/Reiki class and workshop!

Prepare yourself for deep relaxation while we slip into Restorative Yoga. It is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching which is perfect for this time of year and also for the new moon. Restorative classes use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to prop students into passive poses so the body can experience the benefits of a pose without having to exert any effort. Restorative yoga helps provide that physical and mental balance to prevent stress and anxiety, through the use of props that allow you to hold poses longer, giving you all the benefits of deep, passive stretching. It is a delicious way to relax and soothe frayed nerves!

Reiki works by channeling positive energy into your body by a reiki master or practitioner. They may place their hands on or hover over the affected areas of the body that need healing, offering this energy. This may feel like a gentle massage and is very soothing and relaxing. The body has a number of energy centres, (Chakras) in it and sometimes when we have physical, emotional, mental or spiritual issues, it’s because we have imbalances in these centres. Reiki and Yoga help to restore balance and when we incorporate the two together we meld two wonderful ways of healing into one. As we heal the energy centres, we then in turn can help heal the body, mind and soul.

Dana will use Reiki to help balance the chakras, mind and soul as Lisa guides us through a mindful restorative yoga practice.

Both Dana and Lisa work with energy and find great joy in helping people balance themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually. They welcome you to join them for this evening full of blissful relaxation, healing and crafting! Come soothe the soul, reduce stress and tension, release emotional energy, develop connections between the mind and body and bring a bit of healing into your journey!

Self Care Fridays

Self Care Friday 

Give yourself a little Self Care. Lisa from Fenelon Yoga and Cheryl from Santulita Yoga would like to offer Self Care Fridays. Be with us as we flow through a slow and gentle Yoga practice to sooth the nervous system and soul all while restoring ourselves.

Afterwards we will learn how to create our own Self Care products to take home.
