CLASSES

The gentler and slower paced nature of these classes create space for attuning to your body’s inner wisdom, promoting relaxation and inner balance. Practice mindful movement in one of the beautiful studio that I teach in. 

Relax your nervous system, deepen your breath, and slow your mind in this gentle but moderate class, using balancing postures of classic Hatha Yoga as well as flowing poses that offer the flow of a Vinyasa class at a milder pace with more space to feel into each posture.

Classes are small, friendly, focused, and fun. Open to all with modifications provided to welcome different ages, body types and levels of ability. Perfect for those new too yoga or those looking to deepen their practice.

Journey through the Chakras

The chakras are a complex and ancient energy system that originated in India. They were first mentioned in the Vedas, ancient sacred texts of spiritual knowledge dating back thousands of years. The word chakras comes from Sanskrit, the ancient language of India and translates as “circle”, “wheel”, or “vortex of energy”. A Chakra, like a vortex; a constantly revolving wheel of energy. These vortexes connect the subtle bodies and act as receptors for life-force energy.
Each chakra holds a different energy that helps us function physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
In order to achieve optimal health and wellness, all chakras must be balanced. Chakras can be healed and balanced through several holistic methods such as crystal healing, chakra balancing, reiki, meditation, mantra and yoga to name a few.
 I will be offering a “Journey through the Chakras” session. During this 7 week session we will journey through one chakra each week. Starting at the 1st Chakra (Muladhara) and ending at the 7th chakra (Sahasrara). Different styles of yoga will be introduced each week according to the chakra. Styles of yoga included are; Restorative, Yoga Nidra, Gentle, Fire Yoga (3rd chakra), Hatha, Vinyasa. We will always listen to our own needs as we move through each class! Modifications can and will be made if needed. A special Chakra essential oil blend in a roller ball, will be yours to keep and bring to class each week. I will be infusing the oils with Reiki as well as offering Reiki during Savasana (the final resting posture in class, no physical contact at this time). As we move through each chakra we will learn how to activate and balance each chakra using asana (yoga postures), the use of crystals, oils, mantra, pranayama (yoga breathing techniques) and meditation.

I moved to this area about three years ago. I had been participating in yoga for probably 20 years and was trying to continue my practice by going back to the area I had moved from. It wasn’t working, timing, and distance we’re getting in the way.
Yoga, meditation and mindfulness are important aspects of my life and have meant different things to me through out my life journey. I was feeling lost without a regular practice and and a yogi to help guide me. Then I found Lisa.
It’s always hard leaving an instructor you loved but Lisa has been great and it took me no time at all to appreciate her guidance.
Lisa is open, caring and down to earth. She has the presence to recognize and respond to her students wishes and needs. She has tons of training and builds enough consistency and novelty into her classes that at the end I am wishing they weren’t done yet…NI am learning new things and improving postures I learned ages ago. The stretching and strengthening are great for my body and she always offers alternative postures so everyone is always participating. I can’t say enough positive things about the relaxation practices. I always finish a class feeling at peace, renewed, and ready to face the day. I’m not sure how she does it or if she even knows but every time she reminds us to relax our jaws I think she has been seeing in me the need to do just that, I’m not even aware the tension is there until then, lol.
I love yoga with Lisa and look forward to continuing my yoga journey with her.
