About Me

Lisa Diem, a native of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, is a dedicated and passionate yoga instructor with over 500 hours of certification. After years of experiencing the transformative power of yoga as a student, Lisa embarked on a journey to share its benefits with others. Since 2017, she has been leading classes in Kawartha Lakes, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for her students. Driven by her desire of yoga, Lisa pursued her 200-hour yoga teacher training and continued her education through various advanced training programs. Her commitment to personal growth and learning reflects in her extensive knowledge and expertise in the field. Lisa’s teaching philosophy revolves around the belief that yoga is available for everyone. With a focus on gentle yoga, meditation, and Pranayama classes, she creates inclusive spaces where beginners feel welcomed and supported on their yoga journey. Her classes are characterized by warmth, compassion, and a genuine love for sharing the joy of yoga with others. In addition to her regular classes, Lisa is passionate about organizing women’s retreats in Ontario and Costa Rica. These retreats offer participants the opportunity to deepen their practice, connect in sisterhood, and rejuvenate their mind, body, and spirit in beautiful natural settings. Lisa’s vibrant energy and zest for life shine through in each of her classes, workshops, and retreats, inspiring her students to embrace yoga as not just a physical practice, but a holistic path to well-being and self-discovery.

Lisa is not just a dedicated yoga instructor and retreat leader; she’s also a loving mother of three grown boys, a grandmother to two precious grandchildren, and a devoted wife. When she’s not leading classes or organizing retreats, Lisa finds joy in spending time with family, nurturing her garden and soaking up the tranquility of the nearby lake. Being a sun seeker, she spends her winters in Costa Rica, relishing the ocean breeze, exploring new horizons and running women’s retreats. Yoga holds a special place in Lisa’s heart, serving as a source of strength and resilience through life’s challenges. Both physically and mentally, yoga has empowered her to overcome obstacles and find inner peace. Through her practice, she has discovered her true spiritual calling, embracing a journey of self-discovery and inner harmony. Driven by her passion for yoga and a desire to share its transformative power, Lisa leads women’s retreats where she creates nurturing spaces for others to explore their own paths to well-being and self-discovery. Whether on the mat or amidst the serene beauty of nature, Lisa’s dedication to empowering women shines through, inspiring others to find balance, joy, and fulfillment in their lives.

Lisa’s struggle with anxiety and negative self-talk led her to the healing power of yoga. Through her practice, she found self-love and transformed her life. Now, she shares her journey and passion for self-love with other women, empowering them to find themselves and embrace their worth. 

What I Offer

Weekly Classes

I welcome you to join us for a class.
A series of warm up movements (pratapana) will promote circulation and synovial fluid in the joints, aid detoxification and nutrient dispersion in the tissues, and prepare the body for yoga postures. The heart of the class is a sequence of postures linked fluidly together that connects your movement with the pace of your breath.
You will stretch, lengthen, and balance in a way that encourages mind/body connection and listening to your body’s intuition.  I will guide you to flow gently and creatively through postures, leaving you feeling nourished. Listening to your body and practicing self-care is always encouraged; if certain postures and movements do not work in your body, consider this an opportunity to explore something different! Awareness of sensation, the 5 senses, breath, and connection to nature is woven throughout the practice. Each class ends with deep relaxation and meditation.
Note: This style of class is very accessible to all different ages and body types

Private Classes

Whether you are a beginner or seasoned yogi a private yoga class provides the perfect opportunity for us to work together to focus on the unique requirements of your body and energy. Each class is designed for you. Together we can explore what works for you and further your potential. Individual sessions are ideal for individual needs. Private classes offer you the freedom to pick and choose what suits you the most. I welcome individuals, groups, company lunch breaks, or private parties.
