Welcome to our women’s long weekend retreat, a joyful celebration of the Fall Equinox and the divine goddess within each of us. This carefully curated weekend is designed to refresh your sacred self with an itinerary dedicated to affirming to your inner goddess, resetting your mind, body, and soul, all while having a blast celebrating the fall equinox together.
Consider this your personal invitation to experience a four day sanctuary for both new and dedicated yogis, nature lovers, mothers, aunts, sisters, beloved friends, and like-minded women of all ages. Come and join us for this rejuvenating fun weekend experience where you’ll be takin care of, connect with other women, have playful moments and embark on a journey of well-being.

What will your weekend look like?

Retreat from the stressors, obligations and distractions of everyday life and tap into your inner goddess. Turn off your phone. Tune out for the weekend, just be your best self and have fun.

 

You will have the opportunity to practice a variety of yoga styles: Hatha/Vinyasa, Restorative and Nidra (accessible to all). 
Guests can join-in on workshops where we will be creating products together to take home and enjoy. The classes and workshops have been expertly designed with you in mind.  
We will be connecting in women’s circles and workshops but will also have time for individual self-care and self study immersing in nature and re-connecting to oneself.
During “free time,” guests are invited to indulge in relaxation or adventure according to their preferences. Take a soothing dip in the hot tub or unwind in the sauna for a blissful escape. For those seeking a little more excitement, explore the lake with a canoe, kayak, stand-up paddle-board or play out in the lake with the magic carpet, all provided. Have a game of horse shoes right in the backyard. The games room offers a plethora of activities including skee-ball, darts, and more for fun and laughter. Alternatively, cozy up by the fireplace with a book and a cup of tea for a tranquil moment of solitude. Whatever your heart desires, this retreat offers the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure to suit every guest’s needs.
This retreat is for you to do as YOU please. Participate in the workshops and classes that resonate for you, they are optional. This retreat will be laid back, allowing you to be in the moment for your every need. Rejuvenate and relax or keep busy with numerous activities that are available at your own pace.

 

This retreat is is small and intimate, with no more than 11 woman. Only 9 retreater spots are available.

Food

Our meals and snacks will be prepared by Chef Lyndele. Lyndele has been preparing delicious meals for families in Kawartha Lakes for many years. She will give your taste buds a wellness treatment! Lyndele uses only the best quality ingredients. The menu will be focusing on local and seasonal whole foods! These meals will be deeply infused with prana, reiki and love, offering high vitality foods that are nourishing and healing. Be prepared to feel incredible, energized and full of life!

About the space

Welcome to “The OG,” affectionately pronounced Oh-Gee, short for The Original Grandma, a charming lakeside Muskoka cottage bursting with heart and laid-back vibes. For our weekend retreat, this cozy cottage will be our very own haven, offering endless opportunities for relaxation and fun in its warm and inviting atmosphere. From cozy chats by the fireplace to lakeside adventures, “The OG” promises to be the perfect backdrop for our sacred sisterhood gathering. Get ready to create cherished memories and bask in the comfort of this delightful retreat space.

Tucked away in the midst of dense forests, our retreat occupies a secluded space spanning 2 acres. With its prime location on Sparrow Lake, our cozy spot features a sandy beach area equipped with volleyball and horseshoe setups for some laid-back fun. Dive into water activities with a collection of canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards, promising hours of enjoyment on the water. Get ready to unwind and reconnect with nature at this relaxed lakeside hideaway.

Lisa Diem Retreat Curator/Director

Our yoga instructor Lisa Diem (Fenelon Yoga and Wellness) is a certified 500hr+ yoga educator and has 1000’s of hours of training, as well as reiki level 2. Lisa specializes in women’s retreats and use’s her many skills to bring forth experience’s that have been lead from her heart. She is certified and trained in Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Children’s Yoga, Meditation and speciality workshops. Lisa loves to share these passions with other women. Her style of yoga is the same way she lives her life, gentle, flowing and loving. Her love of yoga, life and fun natural energy comes to shine in each of her classes. Pranayama (Breath work), Asana (Postures) and Meditation are all incorporated together bringing awareness to “the self” in each class. Bringing the breath, the mind and the body together as one, she believes yoga can literally change our lives on and off the mat. Helping others to live their best life is something Lisa loves to do! As well as yoga, Lisa has embraced her ancestral roots of paganism. In 2015 Lisa became a Priestess (under the teachings of Ann Moura by Shelly Sias and Sally Dilatto of Cassadaga, Florida). Learning the old ways of using herbs, crystals and intention to bring forth natural healing.
Lisa has been married to her husband Chris for 26 years and they have 3 grown sons and are now grandparents to two. They moved from Toronto in 1997 and now live a quiet life in Fenelon Falls, Ontario on Sturgeon Lake.
Passionate about gardening Lisa enjoy’s spending the spring, summer and fall in the vegetable garden and flower beds. Blessed to live near water she love’s spending days on the lake canoeing and swimming. In the winter spending time in Nosara, Costa Rica by the ocean. Being of the water sign, you can say she is a water baby! Lisa has been running retreats for many years and finds great joy in being able to curate these retreats and share her offerings with other like minded women of all ages. She looks forward to hosting you.
